Stallion’s Rechargeable Car FIRST ELECTRIC CAR IN NIGERIA By Tony Okey Hyundai Kona Electric Vehicle is a product of Stallion Group and its subsidiary Hyundai Nigeria. It is Nigeria’s first locally-assembled electric vehicle manufactured by Stallion Griup to be introduced on the automobile market. It was officially unveiled in Abuja recently in an elaborate event attended by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, who commended the initiative in the country; describing it as a noble idea. Analyzing the features of the vehicle, Chief Executive Director of Stallion Group, Mr. Anant Badjatya, said the vehicle comes with zero emission, and can be charged both at home and at work place. He promised to make it affordable and accessible for Nigerians adding that the world is fast embracing EVS as they want to get away from the diesel and petrol engines. The car will be driven around at no fuel cost after being fully charged at home or office.
